Our Ragdoll Kittens

We are a small, home cattery located in North Carolina. We hand-raise our kittens in our busy home with 4 children, 4 dogs, and other cats, so when our babies come home they are well-socialized. Reach out to see if we have a kitten just right for you!

When Can Kittens Go Home?

We value their adoption into loving families because our kittens are raised in a safe, loving setting with kids of all ages and dogs. All of our ragdoll kittens leave at 12 weeks with a vet-exam, their first FVRCP shot, preventative deworming, and TICA registration.

Why Adopt a Ragdoll Kitten

Everyone in our family has absolutely fallen in love with this breed, and have found the saying to be true, “Ragdolls are like potato chips, you can never have just one!” We started the cattery (AKA having lots of cats in our house) because of our love for working with animals in general. Ragdolls are so much fun to have around, so we made it official by deciding to raise them well, true to breed standard in looks and personality, and responsibly.

A friend once commented when seeing our cats around the house that it was like having living, breathing art. We agree! They are great family pets, playful and affectionate. This is all absolutely true. We learned that they are very social in nature, which works well with our larger family. Since we homeschool, we are home a great deal of the time. These cats love to be with their “clowder” (that’s actually what a group of cats is called!), which includes both humans and animals. We also love the range of colors and patterns that ragdolls come in, and our goal is to produce litters that look like a rainbow of ragdolls. Heaven!

Our Story

We are a family that loves on their animals, nature and enjoying God’s beautiful creation! And we especially love RAGDOLLS.  Our homestead is in the country, we homeschool, and love good food, so there is a lot of cooking and baking at our homestead! We moved to North Carolina from the Washington D.C. area in 2017, and love it here!

Our Pets

We love our cats. Like, REALLY love our cats! We can’t forget to mention that we also love our dogs! They are all is gentle and help us to raise ragdoll kittens who are comfortable with dogs. Our kittens are handled early, often, and by people of all ages. We will never keep an animal in a cage or other enclosure, and we breed minimally every year.

We feed them high quality, grain free food, as well as homemade bone broth (the bones come from a local, grass-fed farm owned by great friends of ours: http://www.woodcrestfarmnc.com/ ) This is a labor of love, and it’s meant to bring joy to our lives and the lives of others. When you get a cat from us, you are getting a loved, well socialized new family member.

Our cats have had genetic testing, are all HCM negative, and we are a TICA (The International Cat Association) registered cattery.

We Produce Many Different Ragdoll Kitten Colors

Our Ragdoll kittens come in a variety of colors and patterns. Out of the 6 recognized colors, we can produce 4. Please see these pictures for an explanation of what our current Kings & Queens can produce.

Adopting A Ragdoll Kitten

We have always cherished our kittens. They grow up in a real house with a real family that includes other cats, kids, and a (kind and loving) dog. Although we are always courteous and careful around the kittens, their upbringing has provided them with the ideal atmosphere to become well-socialized and at ease in a variety of settings.

Our Ragdoll King and Queens

Our ragdoll adult cats are just perfect! They follow us around and are playful and friendly. As a small cattery, we have chosen to only keep one male, King Pax, so that we can take good care of him and not have any competition for the ladies’ attention. Currently, we only have 2 active queens, so every litter is a labor of love.

Due to their ancestry in world champion lines, all of our Kings and Queens are true royalty. Most importantly, they all live up to the high standards that people have come to expect from ragdolls.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our adult ragdoll cats are amazing! They are playful and amiable and follow us around. They will spend the entire night in our kids’ beds since they love to cuddle. We have found personality to be genetic, and our adult ragdoll cats all have wonderful ragdoll personalities, true to breed standard.

All of our Kings and Queens are real royalty because they come from world champion lines. Our adoptable ragdoll kittens are available at Ragdolls & Rainbows, along with the tools you’ll need to care for you and your new friend forever. We love to provide support to families whether they are looking to adopt or have adopted from us years ago. We love ALL of the kittens that we have raised and we love to maintain connections with our adoptive families any chance we get.

Since we have chosen to remain intentionally small, we can meet the needs of our litters. We give them love and attention, quality nutrition, and medical care. NEVER inbreeding (which, surprisingly some catteries do), and maintaining healthy Queens and our sweet King, Pax.

Due to their deep love for their owners, ragdoll cats frequently follow their owners around the home, cuddle in their laps when they are relaxing on the couch, and jump into their beds at night. Ragdoll cats aren’t extremely energetic, but they’re happy to play with kids and get along with other animals.

Are Ragdoll cats suitable for newbies? Yes, Ragdoll cats get along with less experienced owners because of their laid-back and loving personalities.

Most cats dislike being picked up or carried around, but Ragdoll cats adore it. As their name suggests, they frequently become limp, completely relaxed, and floppy like ragdolls. Great cuddle bugs, they are.
